Park, Boston University School of Law, is our guest in the latest episode of Vienna Arbitration Talks, where he discusses the historic 1870s Alabama Arbitration concerning a claim that the United States made against the United Kingdom on the grounds of breaching its neutrality obligations in the American Civil War. The landmark arbitration set the precedent of solving international disputes peacefully through arbitration, led to the interest in codifying public international law and restored friendly relations between the two countries.
