Peter Rižnik has been appointed Chair of the Arbitration Commission of the ICC National Committee of Slovenia
The ICC National Committee of Slovenia has appointed Peter Rižnik, Counsel, as the Chair of its Arbitration Commission, which aims at promoting ICC arbitration policies in Slovenia. Peter has vast experience in arbitration, both as arbitrator and counsel, as well as an expert advisor on arbitration matters. He is an active member of the ICC Commission on Arbitration and ADR, as well as of the ICC Task Force “Addressing issues of corruption in international arbitration”.
In the past, Peter was a Senior Legal Counsel at the Ljubljana Arbitration Centre (LAC). He was a member of the working groups preparing the 2014 Ljubljana Arbitration Rules, the 2019 Ljubljana Mediation Rules and the LAC Procedures for the Administration of Cases under the UNCITRAL Arbitration Rules. Peter is a habilitated lecturer at the Faculty of Law at the University of Maribor, Slovenia.
