Expedited Procedures: Views and experience of arbitral institutions

On 25 September 2019, our firm hosted a panel discussion on expedited arbitration together with representatives of international arbitral intitutions, organized on the occasion of the autumn session of UNCITRAL Working Group II (Dispute Settlement).

In the period 23 – 27 September 2019, UNCITRAL hosted its 70th autumn session of Working Group II (Dispute Settlement). On this occasion, our firm organized a roundtable with the representatives of renowned international arbitral institutions, who shared their views and experience on expedited proceedings. The panelists included Evgeniya Goriatcheva, Permanent Court of Arbitration (PCA), India Johnson, International Centre for Dispute Resolution (ICDR), Elisabeth Vanas-Metzler, Vienna International Arbitral Centre of the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber (VIAC) and Asli Yilmaz, ICC International Court of Arbitration. The discussion was moderated by José Angelo Estrella Faria, United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL).

The event brought together dispute resolution specialists, members of the state delegations to the Working Group II as well as representatives of arbitral institutions, who have actively engaged in the discussions.
