On 20 March 2018, our associate chaired a lively roundtable on Enforcement of foreign arbitral awards at the 2018 Joint UNCITRAL-LAC Conference on Dispute Settlement in Ljubljana, Slovenia.
Peter was joined in the panel discussion by practitioners from Albania, Austria, Croatia, Serbia, Slovenia and Switzerland, who presented and debated some of the most salient issues in the application of the 1958 New York Convention in their jurisdictions. The panelists discussed the various approaches to recognition and enforcement under the case law and the relevant domestic legislation.
The Conference gathered together more than 100 participants from 20 different countries and celebrated the sixtieth anniversary of the 1958 New York Convention as well as the ninetieth anniversary of the Ljubljana Arbitration Centre.
