Arbitrators’ Quest – Konrad & Partners´ CEE and SEE mock trial is entering the fourth round

After three successful editions, Konrad & Partners is pleased to announce the organization of the fourth edition of its “Arbitrators’ Quest  – Konrad & Partners´ CEE and SEE mock trial” which will take place in Vienna on 17 May 2018

International arbitration is a specialized field of work that requires not only expert knowledge, but also intense practical experience to master. As such, while a firm understanding of the legal concepts and theories constitutes an indispensable basis for a successful career in this field, insight into the every-day work of an arbitration practitioner can give prospective lawyers a considerable edge.

We are committed to fostering future talents and want to serve as an interface for high potentials between theory and practice.

Established in 2015, our mock trial aims at providing students and young professionals in the field of international arbitration an opportunity to gain insight into and first-hand experience with situations and matters typically arising in international arbitration disputes, under the supervision of, and in close cooperation with, experienced practitioners as well as renowned scholars.

Based on their written and oral performance, the winner will be elected from amongst the participants who will be offered a paid two-month internship with the Konrad & Partners Arbitration Practice Group in Vienna.

The competition is open to students, graduates and young professionals with interest in international arbitration. We particularly encourage students and young professionals from the CEE and SEE regions to apply for one of our places in the mock trial.

For further information on participation, please see the Call for Applications or visit the Application section.

"The two-month internship that I spent at Konrad & Partners was one of my greatest professional experiences, and it was much more than just a professional experience. It was an excellent opportunity to get an insight into one of the leading arbitration law firms in Austria, to read and analyse real-world statement of claims and other case materials, to help in the preparation of a presentation for an international arbitration conference, and to participate at one of the leading arbitration conferences as well. Besides, I met really nice people who helped me a lot to feel myself at home in the lovely city of Vienna during these unforgettable two months."
